sessions

What should I expect at a session?

Sessions typically last 2 hours.  I like to take my time getting to know you and your child so that no one feels rushed.  I do both natural light photography as well as photography with studio lighting.  Sessions not limited to any setup and might choose to use furniture, the floor, or anything else you would like to personalize your photos. Some special consideration will need to be taken when working with infants.  I don't mind if we need to take frequent breaks for a snack or nap to keep your little one happy.  When you are choosing a session time, please take in to consideration when your child is in the best mood, and if things change, please let me know!  I can typically be flexible to that.

What should I wear at the session?

Infants photograph best in just a diaper (diaper cover) or nothing at all.  Accessories are always fun.  Think out of the norm.  A funky hat, long strand of pearls, funky skirt or shorts. You may also choose a simple outfit for them to wear.  Bright colors can be fun, but I would stay away from words on clothing if possible.  They can take the focus away from your child.  Layered clothing is always fun.  You might even create an outfit that you wouldn’t normally dress your child in.  It will look great in pictures.  If you would like to be in the photos as well, simple clothing works best.  Be creative and think outside the box!

If you have several outfits and "looks" in mind, have them all ready to go prior to the session and we will work through them as we go.

If you have any questions, please contact me and I will be happy to help you.
